About Us

It began as a dream… and became a reality!

Situated among corn fields halfway between Black Earth and Mazomanie, Midland UMC is the fruition and hard work of combining three former United Methodist churches. The former Black Earth, Mazomanie and Mounds Creek United Methodist Churches struggled with accessibility and maintenance. The decision was made to combine into one congregation and build a facility that would be user-friendly, have adequate space to grow and allow for the congregation to focus on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The result is a beautiful building in a picturesque setting. Donated land provided the simple but stunning backdrop. Members worked diligently to preserve and utilize furnishings and stained glass windows from the previous churches, making the new building feel comfortable and homey.

It is  Midland UMC’s deepest desire to be a safe place for people of all ages to explore and grow in faith. Whether your 2 or 92, we offer opportunities to GROW in personal faith, WITNESS joyfully and humbly to God’s grace, and SERVE God by loving our neighbors as ourselves.

Midland UMC is a safe place for people to explore faith, God and what religion means to them. It is Midland’s deepest desire for people to develop a personal relationship with God.

We don’t have everything figured out. We invite you to come as you are, warts and all. Just come and see how God is speaking to you.

What We're About

Our mission is to GROW in personal faith, WITNESS joyfully and humbly through God’s grace, and SERVE God by loving our neighbors as ourselves.
We believe there is one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While the word “trinity” doesn’t appear in the Bible, Methodists believe it’s an appropriate label to describe Scripture’s teaching on the triune nature of God.

We believe in actualizing our faith in community — actions speak louder than words. The three simple rules are: “Do no harm. Do good. Stay in love with God.” Some beliefs we share with other Christians are the Trinity (God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and Jesus’ birth, death and Resurrection.
Come as you are! If you like to dress up for church, or prefer to come in jeans and a t-shirt, you are welcome here.

We offer a blended, multi-sensory worship style, which includes a variety music and elements such as drama that allows God’s Word to be heard in a way that relates to people of all walks of life.
